If you are currently unemployed and are looking for a way of applying for an employed position linked to an Apprenticeship training course, TSP is advertising vacancies offered by its employers on the Apprenticeship vacancies service. You can search for current vacancies available by going starting at www.apprenticeships.org.uk , click on Vacancy Service and search for  The Skills Partnership Ltd.

There are a number of vacancies available currently including Apprenticeships with Spirit Healthclubs (Nationally)and Media Kube Productions (Birmingham).

TSP is also offering 6 month work placements for people who have been unemployed for 6 months or more in the West Midlands region. These placements include: Physical Activity Assistants  for a company called Sportwise and Production Assistants for a company called Media Kube Productions. Young people in Birmingham are being given the chance to take to the airwaves, thanks to the Future Jobs Fund and a  successful bid in the West Midlands from The Skills Partnership working with Media–Kube to offer over 50 jobs as production assistants, researchers and presenters at an internet based radio station in Birmingham.

The jobs will be created in Birmingham, and the eight round of winning Future Jobs Fund (FJF) bidders, will create over 6,000 new jobs nationally, and means 117,000 new jobs have been funded so far.

 Media Kube, is a creative media company based in Highgate who help young people aged 16-24 who want to work in the creative industries. With The Skills Partnership they set up and run media / music creative apprenticeships to give people experience and training.  The Future Jobs Fund will be used to set up and run a local community internet/ digital radio station, Kube Radio.  The station which will be launching at the end of April is aimed at young people and will reflect the culturally diverse music scene of Birmingham.

“The launch of Kube Radio is a fantastic opportunity for young people to gain experience in digital media.  Not only will it offer job opportunities for young people but it will also benefit the wider community.  We are really excited about getting this project off the ground.”

The Skills Partnership has confirmed it’s next set of group induction dates for those who are looking to join Exercise and Fitness, Personal Training and Customer Service courses.

The next group induction dates are: April 15th, June 17th and July 15th, 2010 taking place at a central London venue.

In addition to these dates The Skills Partnership is also able offer other flexible arrangements for induction, including individual sessions at your place of work.
